She is also a member of the RTPI’s young planner’s network. Megan joins our busy planning team and will continue to gain experience in preparing planning appraisals, preparing and submitting planning applications and assisting in appeals and local plan work.”

Megan said: “I am thrilled to be entering the next chapter of my career with Pro Vision. I look forward to expanding both my knowledge base and understanding of the planning system whilst being involved in a wide variety of exciting projects.”

Principal Ecologist Alex Hannam obtains New Certificate

We are pleased to share that our Principal Ecologist Alex Hannam has obtained a New Certificate: Bat Earned Recognition Class Licence (CL47) – Level 2: Annex A, B and C from Natural England!

The application involved multiple tests, submission of a portfolio and interview demonstrating his competency and examples mitigation projects he has been involved in.

We look forward to offering this service to our clients, helping them obtain a licence quicker than the typical bat mitigation licence (A13) application process.

Please get in touch if your project requires ecological surveys, mitigation, and protected species licences.

Research Project at Rushmoor Estate

Our ecology team took a morning out to help the Rushmoor Estate with a research project to look at the impacts of woodland management on bat diversity. It was not only great to help out with an interesting project but good training for the team to look at different features on trees which can support roosting bats.

Trees provide important roosting resources for local bat populations with smaller trees with relatively minor looking features leading into perfect cavities which can be easily overlooked.

Thanks to Jon Hayter for giving us the chance to help out and provide valuable experience to inform our initial assessments. We will use this training to assist with the design of mitigation schemes within developments to maximise roosting opportunities for bats and design pragmatic solutions for clients.

Please get in touch if your project requires ecological surveys and design.
