Mortimer

A need for 110 homes in Mortimer had been identified through the Development Plan. 

Pro Vision promoted the site and secured its allocation through the Stratfield Mortimer Neighbourhood Plan.  A Site Design Brief was developed, and consultation with the local community took place including hosting a public exhibition in the local village hall.

An Outline application was prepared and submitted on behalf of our client, T A Fisher, for a development of 110 dwellings, land for an infant school, land for a doctor’s surgery, and new public open space.  The application was approved at a local level by Members of the West Berkshire Planning Committee.

Subsequently, Pro Vision has been retained to prepare the Reserved Matters application, and to clear pre-commencement conditions, as well as advising on minor iterations to the scheme. 

The development has been shortlisted at the Royal Berkshire Property Awards 2023 as the ‘Best Large Residential Development’ due to its exemplar design in a rural setting.
