Romsey School

This project involved the refurbishment and extension to the South Block of Romsey School.

It provides improved facilities for the Special Educational Needs and Autistic Spectrum Departments and contains classrooms, therapy rooms, offices, occupational therapy and sports coaching room, kitchen, changing room and toilets as well as self-contained garden areas serving the two separate departments.

The single storey extension conforms to the original design of South Block with red facing brick walls and a modern standing seam roof which wraps around two sides of the building.

Pro Vision liaised with the SEN and ASD departments of the school early on to develop the brief and present sketch options. Offering a full architectural scope of services, Pro Vision then finalised the design and along with the planning team obtained full planning permission.  The technical design then followed with approval from building control, preparation of the contract documents, tendering process and finally with Pro Vision in the role or contract administrators seeing the project through to completion on site.
